On May 27th, 2023, the Uni was first officially teased through a series of videos showing a Tamagotchi UFO flying across major global landmarks, turning them into digital Tamagotchi-like versions with various characters floating in the air. A longer-cut version of the teaser, with each landmark shown in succession, was uploaded to the Tamagotchi USA YouTube channel. The Uni features a total of 6 games, which can be accessed through the door icon and played once the Tamagotchi becomes a child. On 27th June, the company will hold its own launch event in line with the US and Europe, hosting media, celebrities, and influencers who will be the first to experience and get hands-on with the new Uni prior to it hitting UK shelves from 15th July.
