I like the idea of one-touch buttons with some easy customization of brew strength, temperature control, and amount. I expect that I will experiment a little and then save a particular customization to one touch. I especially like machines those that have a plug in carafe that you take from the refrigerator. My wife likes especially the one-touch system and does not like to spend time learning how to customize. This model has the standard milk frother without a switching ring, like the basic 22110, and doesn’t have the wake-up timer either. Nor does it have a display: when the coffee machine is turned on, you will notice that it is not a full-featured display, but LED lights, like on the ECAM 22.110.

The quality of Delonghi ECAM23.420 does come with a price. While it does have a built-in filter, the refills need to be changed every couple of months, and users find it costly.
